Liebster Blog Award

Wow, my blog is only in its infancy (started this past April) and I just received my second blog award.  I have been given this award by Amanda of Celiac and Allergy Adventures.  Visit her blog at:  (http://celiacandallergyadventures.wordpress.com/2012/12/10/liebster-blog-award/).

By accepting, I am supposed to share 5 random facts about myself and answer 5 questions posed by her. THEN, I have to nominate 5 other blogs and come up with 5 questions to ask them. This is making me do some serious thinking about myself.

5 RANDOM FACTS

1.  I once saw a UFO (no kidding).  My sister and I were sitting on our front porch and saw it go over the house.  Eerie – I know.

2.  I didn’t learn to swim until I was 12.  My parents bought a pool and my sister and I either learned to swim or the pool got filled with sand so I took lessons with seven and eight year olds.

3.  I never tried marijuana even though I was the right age during the time (boring I guess or just too scared to try or the wrath of my father if he found out).

4.  I love having flowers growing outdoors even though I am not able to plant them myself anymore.

5.  My favorite movie is “It’s A Wonderful Life”.

QUESTIONS FROM CELIAC AND ALLERGY ADVENTURES

1. If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go first?  That is a tough question since I haven’t been able to really travel in a long time.  I think I would like to go to Peru.

2. What is one thing you would change about your life right now? I would change my inability to tolerate the world around me.

3. Would you rather cook or bake?  I would much rather bake.  I love creating things.
4. What’s your top three favorite songs of all-time?  Hmm – that is a tough one.  a) Drummer Boy (love Christmas music)  b) Remember When by Alan Jackson (I think this a very poignant song)  c) As Tears Go By from Marianne Faithful (always liked the song and never thought it might actually represent my life).

5. What’s your favorite type of weather?  Late Spring (by then the mold in the air is pretty much gone and the pollen is starting to spiral down).  I also love the sunshine it brings and the way it lightens my mood after the winter fog.

MY QUESTIONS

1) What is your favorite book?

2) Who do you most admire?

3) If you had the money to make a difference, what would you do and why?

4) What is your favorite pet?

5) If you could eat anything (I ask this because I have food allergies) what would it be?

  1. Congradulations on the honor you have received!!!! I totally enjoy your blog & have learned much from you– & feel we have a lot in common–by way of health problems!!
I’m not the smartest horse in the corral- 🙂 -my dear MCS sister — I feel totally & completely honored to be included with your nominees—- now– do
I answer these questions– & that you have listed– & do I answer on my blog???? Or in your comments– ????? Thank you!!!

  2. Congratulations on your award, that is great.

  3. Thank you. As for your questions, you copy and paste the award in your blog. You tell who nominated you with a link to my blog. You tell five random things about yourself and then answer my questions. When that is all done, nominate five bloggers that you follow and send them the rules and create five new questions for them to answer along with their random things. If you have any questions, let me know. Not feeling the greatest and soon heading to bed.

  4. Congratulations Kathy! I keep telling you that you are doing a great job here!! Glad that there are others that agree with me!

  5. I have a question Kathy–do “my nominees” have to have a blog on wordpress-or can they have a blog any place on the internet that I follow??????
I do hope you are feeling bright eyed & bushy tailed today– & no longer sick!!! 🙂 Congratulations again on your receiving the award & thank you for your nominating myself!!!!

    • No, they do not have to be wordpress blogs. Feeling like I am heading toward a sinus infection. If that is the case I may need antibiotics as much as I hate them. Natural things have not worked for me. So I will do acupuncture this morning and irrigate like crazy and see what happens.

      • Thank you for your answer to my question— & Kathy have you ever tried super Silver–I have used silver for an antibiotic for over 25 years– just started useing super silver this past year– it works for both of us– we just don’t take any chemical drugs at all!!!! Blessing to you– hope you feel better soon!!! (hugs– soft– non-chemical–no scent hugs!! )

      • I have – but it doesn’t work for me. What should doesn’t and what I don’t want to use does. I am holding out for a few days. I just had a good acupuncture osteophatic treatment. Tomorrow getting mega c, glutatione and magnesium. Drinking lots of peppermint tea and water and taking lots of oral C as well.

      • Sorry –it doesn’t work for you– also what also works for me– is a product put out by Standard Process called Congaplex & of coarse Echinacea– many of the Standared Process products have save my life–

      • Thank you for all your suggestions. I can’t do Echinacea either.

  6. Well I lost that post– but wanted to say– I think you are on the right track & doing good– hope it all kicks in soon & you feel better!!! later–

  8. Happy New Year, Kathryn! I’ve nominated you for an award. Here it is: http://the-labyrinth.com/blog/blog-awards/
I’ve finally accepted my awards, and I’ve just made a page and put all of them on there. I hope I didn’t miss any. 🙂 Talk about the interview soon (almost complete, now. it’s quite long, so we can shorten it if you like. However, I think you know I like to cover many angles 🙂 Which often takes a few words.
